TIPEC SCOTLAND MINUTES
Stewart Gordon welcomed all to the meeting, even though we were resigned to the car park outside the museum. Colin from the museum sends his apologies for not opening the museum this evening and oversight on his behalf and a one off ladies and gents.
Firstly a slight amendment to the April run which will now be on the 19th and not the 12th as first suggested, this is to accommodate the Easter weekend which is on the 12th. Stewart Gordon to follow up with meet details etc ASAP.
Gaydon was mentioned again which is the weekend of the 29th of May to the 31st/1st June. Travelling down on the Friday and returning on the Monday or evening of the Sunday depending on which is suitable for yourself. We will be staying at the Inn keepers Lodge, Sheldon nr Birmingham this is approx 40 mins by car to the show on the Sunday and approx 3 to 4 miles from Birmingham city centre. The cost of the room will be £78 per room for the 3 nights (Fri., sat and sun) in total and includes a continental style breakfast. Payment will be made upon check in, however if you do not wish to go and have already said to myself that you are going you have until the may meet to inform me or otherwise the full £78 will have to be paid in full to myself. Very few rooms available now so contact me ASAP if you wish to go!! Meet arrangements for the Friday are to follow at the May meeting. Please remember to book your ticket for the show and also if you want a track day run at Gaydon.
Next was the first show of the season which takes place on Sunday 3rd of may and will be at the Museum of rural life in East Kilbride and we will meet at Strathclyde park , Toby Carvery car park at 0830/0845 depart at 9am sharp. Car owners will be entitled to a free £5 lunch voucher and a free pass to the museum it’s self. I have a few names etc already so anyone wishing to go contact me ASAP.
The recent ALL TORQUE did have a list of shows that we will be attending this year and anyone wishing to go to any of the shows please e-mail me with all your details of the car etc in order that I can fill in the appropriate paperwork. So many shows now require full details of car and owners for insurance and programme details.
The autumn run still to be decided folks so keep watching for that!
Stewart the 944s2 was looking fantastic and we look forward to the latest edition to the Gordon restoration scheme at the shows this season. Any more projects on the horizon??
