WEDNESDAY 4th MARCH 2009
TIPEC SCOTLAND MINUTES

Apologies were sent from Alan Neilson
Stewart Gordon welcomed all to the meeting. 12 bodies at tonight’s meeting and 2 Porsche’s in the car park. Stewart introduced Ian Carragher a new member and the new owner of James Lyall’s former 944 2.7. Welcome aboard Ian!!

Next a big thank you to all who went to the February run/meet in Perth and the surrounding area a turn out of 20 and this was the last of the winter run/meets till the winter again. They have proved very popular and a worth while exercise as this was the first winter to host such meetings/day’s out and the idea came from you the members.

Tonight’s main topic of conversation were to discuss the diary of events for the forth coming season and with only a few minor details to follow up on we have a basic calendar to go by .( please see separate sheet for details to follow) This will be published in the next all torque for all the members to see. The diary is made up of shows and club member suggestions for the season and as mentioned before not all suggestions can be implemented so we have selected the most popular idea’s that were put forward by you the members. The autumn trip this year has several suggestions one is to have a lake district/Yorkshire run another is the Isle of mull and another is the new Porsche museum in Stuttgart all still to be looked into for costs and dates etc. Next month 12th April we will host a Sunday run, details to follow. Names etc to Stewart Gordon ASAP.

A reminder to all those wishing to go to the National event in Gaydon this year (pls refer to February’s minutes for exact accommodation details etc) Names are being taken etc and all wishing to go please contact Neil Fraser by e-mail or phone or at next months meet.

On a lighter note Hazel Bedbourgh club member is looking for a few Porsche’s and there drivers to participate in her sisters wedding arrangements, the date for this will be the 11th of July 2009 and anyone available for this day please contact Hazel direct on 07867865582. Something different guys and dolls for a wedding so please get in touch with Hazel if you can help out on the day in question.

A reminder also that anyone wishing to submit an article for the next ALL TORQUE magazine please get this into Tony blow no later than this Friday 6th, if you require an extra day i.e. Saturday please contact Tony ASAP to arrange. His contact details are tony@typescape.com

Stewart did mention also that at some point in the summer time we will host a club region BBQ and all will be funded by the region, a little something back to you the members and it will be in the sincere hope that it will not be pissing with rain on the day in question!!!!

We look forward to seeing you all at the April meet. Please remember we are at the The Bo-Ness Motor Museum, Bridgeness Road, Bo-Ness,EH51 9JR. for our monthly meet please come along 8pm start time. This venue has light refreshments and a car museum all under one roof not to mention a good sized car park.

Many thanks,
Neil Fraser (ARO EAST OF SCOTLAND)

Cheers Neil. These minutes have been a real help whilst we’ve been too busy to come along to the monthly meets. Jen and I will be back with you in April!
