WEDNESDAY 7th JANUARY 2009 TIPEC SCOTLAND MINUTES
Stewart Gordon welcomed all to the meeting, a good turnout of 15, not bad for a January winter night. Stewart hoped everyone had a good Christmas and a happy new year also.
First on the agenda was the suggestion forms for the forth coming season, we will be looking at them in detail at next months meet. Also the SVVA booklet will be available at next months meet in order to decide the shows in which we will be attending this season.
The next gathering will be: Sunday/lunch meeting. Sunday 25th January We are going to hold it at Brunston Castle Golf Club in Ayrshire, there will also be a short run of about 5 miles up to & very close to the turbines, on the nearby wind farm. Also for those who fancy trying the golf driving range, it will be open to us, any charges to be confirmed. The meet place for this event will be on the A77/A78 Dutch House Roundabout at Monkton at the premier hotel car park at 1100/1130am.
A similar type meeting on the 22nd February will take place and full details will be to follow probably in the Perth area for this meet.
Next month will also be RO and ARO nominations, as Stewart has mentioned on many occasions these positions are NOT set in stone and will be nominated etc as we have already said at next months meet. Anyone wishing to be put forward will do so on the night. Current positions are as follows: RO Scotland ARO East of Scotland ARO West of Scotland
A treasury bank a/c is to be set up by the current RO and ARO’S in order to hold region funds.
The annual show at Gaydon this year is somewhat earlier on the 31st may 2009 and we will require names etc for this ASAP Accommodation will be booked up over the next few days and this will hopefully be at the old faithful Dun Cow in Rugby approx 10 miles from the event on the Sunday. Rooms will be booked provisionally and subject to change as requests come in/ costings etc to follow soon, so watch this space. Normally we go down on the Friday and return on the Monday. All names etc to Neil Fraser ASAP. As for the Autumn run this year it has been decided James mc Laughlin and assistants will host from start to finish this event( his fault for making an excellent job of the Ireland trip ) James whilst you were participating in a cigarette at the meet recently you were nominated for the job!!!! Cheers mate.
