Hi Folks,
Just a reminder that Tuesday the 19th is our
September Club Night at the Whipping Stocks, WA16 9EX.
In keeping with the latest demonstrations to keep our cars looking tip top we will meet Aiden of Dent Experts to demonstrate his skills and expertise and give us some insight to what can be achieved and how he works his magic. Hopefully the weather will allow us to be outside with the cars but if not I’m sure we can hear from Aiden in the pub.
As the light may be fading by the usual start time of 8:00pm, I have asked Aiden to join us from 7:00pm for us to get the most out of his visit.
We also have the inaugural
Cheshire & Staffs Chippy Tea Run this Friday the 8th of September meeting at The Whipping Stocks and 18:00/ 18:15 to be on the road by 18:30 for a 30 to 40 minute run to a proper Fish & Chip shop where there is plenty of parking. They also have seating and tables inside if the weather doesn’t play ball.
On Monday the 11th of September we will see a number of us supporting the
Galloways Society for Blind Track Day at Three Sisters Circuit in Wigan.
For those who can’t go and still want to support I’m sure Galloways would welcome any donations -
http://www.galloways.org.uk Other events that are on over the next week or so there is a car meet at the
Cholmondeley Arms on Sunday the 10th. This was due to be held on the 3rd but was postponed to the 10th , it's a good day out with bacon butties and coffee available. We have supported this in the past and there was an amazing variety of cars in the car park. We haven't arranged a club meet as Ian, Gareth, Stef and myself are already otherwise engaged..... so if you want to attend this meet then please make your own way there. Look forward to seeing pictures from anyone who goes.
Also on the 10th of September, for anyone interested in an American and Classic car show,
The Red Lion at Goostrey is throwing one - along with live entertainment and a bbq. We await details of the start times but there’s plenty on in September before any cars are prepared for winter hibernation.
Speaking of winter hibernation and preparation, a couple of ideas for the diary!
We are looking to arrange a drive over to
Autobrite one Sunday to be shown ideas on preparing our cars for the winter months. Picking up further on the Chippy Tea Runs, your RO and ARO’s are busying themselves sampling new locations for future events to also include
Curry Evenings and
Sunday Coffee Mornings – truly something for everyone!
Finally, I’d like to welcome a few new members to the region, Brian Dixon, Hedley Gaynon and Graham Harris who joined in August along with Paul Murphy, Stephen Lockley and Anthony Garrod who joined us in July. We’ve already met a few of you at the recent events, hope you can all join the next meetings and events soon.
Best wishes from Gareth, Stef, Ian and myself – we’ll see you all soon.
Regards
Chris
