WEDNESDAY 5th NOVEMBER 2008
TIPEC SCOTLAND MINUTES

Stewart Gordon opened the meeting and welcomed all along, what is now I would say officially winter!!lol!
An apology for no October minutes as this was an oversight due to myself unable to attend due to work commitments.
A big thank you reiterated to James and Spud for all the efforts with the Ireland trip I have to say it was a fantastic trip guys and I look forward to a similar trip for next autumn. Ideas for next years trip away are most welcome and Martin Whitelaw’s recent suggestion of the Isle of Man or the lakes is well up there I think, thinking caps on guys and dolls!!.

As requested at the start of the 2008 season it was suggested that a winter meeting out with the normal first Wednesday of the month would be beneficial to some especially those weekday or evening workers who could not attend the normal meet . So here we have it guys and dolls on the 23rd of this month (November) we will be having a run and lunch stroke meeting, hosted by Stewart Gordon. Stewart to advise on meeting time etc. Could be a good opportunity to suggest the forthcoming season also? Etc. The venue will be the Castle Venue Hotel, Peebles, Scottish Borders.

Stewart did hand round suggestion forms for ideas etc on the forthcoming season and anyone who was not present at the meeting and wishes a form please e-mail Stewart Gordon or phone Stewart. We took on board many ideas last time round for this season and in my mind was a very worthwhile exercise, different shows, winter meet and the Ireland trip etc came from these ideas and remember it is you the members club the RO and ARO’S only put YOUR IDEA’S in place and help see it through. We cannot see every idea be put in place but the most communal one’s did I think. So thinking caps on and thanks to Martin Whitelaw who has some good ideas already put forward.

Stewart then went on to mention the it will be time soon to put forward yourself or a person if wished for the RO and ARO positions these are positions are currently held by Stewart Gordon RO Scotland, Alan Neilson ARO West of Scotland and Neil Fraser ARO East of Scotland.

The recent Currie Bowl evening (29th October) was fun evening with PCGB AND TIPEC member in fierce competition! Lol!
The results below

1st Martin Whitelaw (TIPEC)
2nd Colin . C (PCGB)
3rd Raymond Boyd (PCGB)
4th Stewart Gordon (TIPEC)

A wee reminder the classic car show at the NEC is on this weekend coming (15th and 16th Nov)a mini bus is going down on the Friday just after lunch time and returning on the Sunday evening. There are 2 places available in the bus please contact Alan Neilson if you wish to go and may I remind you we will be pissed on the Saturday night in Birmingham City Centre somewhere and most probably the Friday night also.

Many thanks Neil Fraser ARO East of Scotland.
