NOVEMBER 2014 MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES.

Welcome to tonight's meeting 14 bodies and a couple of Porkers in the Car park. The winter has arrives and many of the Porkers are tucked up in the garage away from the recent wet and windy weather. A warm welcome this evening to two new faces along to the region Bruce McFarlane and Paul Sefton Welcome along to the club and I hope you enjoyed the banter at tonight's meeting and we look forward to seeing you in future up and coming meets etc.

November just as a reminder on the 27th (Thursday) we will be having a ten pin bowling evening at Deer Park Country Club. An 1830pm gathering for a 1900 kick of. I have circulated a separate email regarding this evening. Anyone wishing to go and wishes to bring a friend along also is welcome we have 3 lanes booked of for us and there are still spaces at present so just drop me an email to say you are coming. Please remember we have a few prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd so come along and join us for the evening.

The Christmas bash at the Mercure Barony Castle Hotel this year will be on the 20th of December again a separate email has gone round regarding this evening and the balance is now required to which you pay direct to the Hotel. The balance has to be paid no later that the 21st of this month (November 2014). Looks a fantastic venue and 28 people from the region booked up and many thanks once again to Elaine for putting this one together.

We are looking to repeat our winter Lunch run's in January and February (weather permitting) These runs normally involve a good run out on a Sunday possibly to the Ayrshire neck of the woods or even further north. These runs are put together to try and reach a few members that normally would be out of range mileage wise for club meetings etc so we will have a look and any suggestions for a venue etc are most welcome.

We will be putting our thinking caps on for a Spring Run Weekend away and although a wee bit away yet we will again be looking for suggestions and idea's on this weekend. Normally around the April/May time when the weather is better.

The January meeting will be the 7th of January at the Boness Motor Museum just to clarify this as we normally opt for the 2nd Wednesday of the new year, however the 7th falls out of closure and holidays so the 7th of January is the confirmed date. We will be circulating suggestion forms as well as the ARO and RO nominations for the forthcoming 2015 season. So last year we had a suggestion for a rolling road day to which went of very well so suggestions of this nature are all welcome.

The new club joining and renewal form has just been finalised and I will circulate this for (in PDF format) everyone in a separate email this form can be used instead of using the website if you choose to do so. The joining and renewal procedure has been revised in recent times by the club and offers easy and simple methods to join and rejoin the club. Any questions etc regarding this please contact me direct.

Other up and coming events are as follows below:

November 27th Ten Pin Bowling evening (Livingston Deer Park)

December 20th Christmas Dinner Dance (Barony Castle Peebles)
