TIPEC North West Ultimate GP Karting event on Saturday 6th September at 3:00pm. Prestige Karting Colne BB8 8EG. www.prestigekarting.co.uk Ladies and Gentlemen, I was tasked at the last monthly meeting with organising a karting event in September. We are going for the "ULTIMATE GP" event at Prestige Karting Colne :- Each driver competes in five heats starting from a different grid position in each race. Each heat will usually consist of five drivers racing for 5 laps. Points are awarded for each race with the winner scoring 5 points, 4 points for second, 3 points for third, 2 points for fourth and 1 point for fifth. Every Driver qualifies for semi-final, which consists of seven laps. The top five point scorers will then compete in the Go Kart Grand Final. A big 9-lap race that will put to the test everything that has been learned from qualifying. Price is £40per person (min 10 people, max 100). Managed to negotiate free winners trophies and "bubbly" providing we can get 15 people or more. With 15 people, session should take about 2hrs and plan is go for dinner at a local pub afterwards (I will arrange this once we have final numbers for the Karting). Please register your interest below by latest 10th July as I need to the pay a deposit of £10 per head to secure the event (I'll pay this in advance so please only register if you think you can definitely make it). 1: Doug Ogden (1 person driving, 4 people dinner at the pub) |

If you could please copy/paste the list and add your name to it stating how many for Karting and how many for dinner afterwards, that would be very much appreciated Need to separate this as I have to pay a deposit for each driver and then, need to book us all in for dinner somewhere having sufficient tables (and a decent enough car park) to accommodate us all. I thank you

Update: Paid the deposit yesterday so event is secured now )15 people min, any more is a bonus and we can confirm those nearer the time. All drivers need to be at the event by 14:45 latest on the day so as to get ready and to attend the drivers briefing. Overalls, helmets and gloves are supplied however would suggest to bring own gloves if you have them as theirs are not so good. Also, suggest to bring change of clothes if you are going to restaurant afterwards as you come out very sweaty and stinking of petrol )))See you all soon, Doug. |
