TIPEC SCOTLAND
APRIL 2014 MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES.

Welcome to everyone to this month's meeting 19 bodies and a 5 Porkers in the car park most of which are still tucked up in the garage on trickle charge.

PLEASE NOTE THE MAY MEETING WILL BE ON TUESDAY 6TH MAY AND NOT WEDNESDAY MAY 7TH.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Congratulations were in order to Alan Neilson and Maree and there latest arrival baby Adam and Elaine Whitelaw presented Alan with a wee pressie from all of the Scottish Region. Mum, Dad and baby Adam are all doing well.

This Saturday (5th April) Matt Collins and his team will be hosting the rolling road day/workshop visit and we have approx 13/14 cars entered for this day. We will be kicking of at 10am where we will have Tea/Coffee and snacks for everyone who is attending this is a discounted day from Matt at £20 per car for the day and there is a few spaces left for anyone wishing to go, open to everyone regardless of car type who wishes to put there car on the rolling road. The venue will be Ecosse Automotive, Bomains Industrial Estate EH51 0QG. Come along even just for a blether and a coffee be great see everyone there.


Next this evening was the region's spring run a separate email has been circulated regarding the spring run to which will be the weekend of the 25th/26th of April, James McLauchlan ARO East has done a great job putting this one together and a good few attending, lets pray for some good weather for that weekend. Anyone has any questions etc regarding this weekend please contact James direct on the contact details below.

The next event after this will be on the 11th of May at the Grampian Motor Museum in Alford. We will be attending as a club and be amongst many other car clubs on the day exhibiting and enjoying what the museum has to offer. Please visit http://www.gtm.org.uk for a wee look at there website. I have sent of the club application for this event , however anyone else wishing to go please complete the application form i sent out regarding this show and request to be with the rest of the TIPEC clan to which will be no problem. For the most of us we will meet up at Kinross services and i will email closer to the event the time we should meet and set off. This is a new venue for us having never been before so a new show for the region and something different.

Also in May will be the ever popular Bridge of Allan Classic Car show in Stirling on the 18th of May always a favorite show for the members and always a good day out I have to say and always has auto jumble some form of entertainment and a great ice cream van or two from memory. We will meet at Stirling Services for this one at 0900/0915 depart for the show. Once again anyone wishing to go then please get in touch with myself ASAP and ill put you on the list!! We will have the Gazebo and tea/coffee facilities as per the norm for the shows/events we go to so all you caffeine lovers out there don't panic!!!

The 1st of June will be the ever popular Thirlstaine Extravaganze Classic Car Show, lots of content here and plenty autojumble etc. A nice setting and always a very well run show with over 1500 plus vehicles on show, anyone wishing to attend this show then contact me ASAP as the application will need to be away very soon.

The Christmas bash has already been put together by Elaine Whitelaw ARO West, I have circulated the email regarding this around the members and I know it is still very early on in the year but the venue is extremely popular and to avoid disappointment we need to be reserving early. The Hotel is the Mercure Barony Castle Hotel and Spa in the Scottish Borders on the 20th December a very nice venue Elaine has sought out for us please visit http://www.baronycastle.com for a look at the venue looks spectacular to be honest. Other events etc in the diary are as you see folk's the Annual TIPEC national show in Beaulieu looks fabby again a separate email has went out regarding this and a few have booked up already and any questions etc regarding this contact myself direct on the contact details below. The annual BBQ event is July not to be missed as will be Scotland's largest gathering of Porsches on the 31st August at Calderglen Country Park in East Kilbride this is a Brain Wood Special show and we had just short of a 100 Porsches last year and id expect to exceed that this year a great family day out also.
