PCGB R3 have asked me to post an invite to the annual show, which is at Beamish again this year.
Bargain entry price of £7 per person as against £17.50, all you have to do is turn up in a Porsche and park with the others in the show field.

Newcastle OPC will be attending with a full range of cars as well as Redline Racing with some of their Cup cars, Lloyds official Porsche Bodyshop and Specialist Cars of Malton.

There was a good turn out last year and it looks like it is shaping up to be even better this year and definitely a worth a look with the reduced entry fee to the museum.

Hugely dissapointing day.We arrived at the main entrance at 11.15 to be told that the entrance for the Porsche event was at the low entrance past the golf club.On the way down we met several other Porkers on the way up!They said that the gate into the event was locked.Nevertheless we proceeded to the gate and sure enough it was locked and the guy at the gate said it was for security reasons and directed us back to the main entrance. The attendant there said we could not take our car down to the event but could park in the general car park and walk down, however,he would need to charge the full price @ £17.50 per head.Along with several others we diclined his offer and headed 60 miles back home!We would appreciate any comments from the organisers.

This post is probably on the wrong site but :-
 Might be worthwhile checking next year if it clashes with Tipec show (at Gaydon?) for probably a better class of organisation & it's FREE :bounce:
(I don't usually travel Soufh but make an exception for Tipec)

Not a good situation, it is so frustrating when people on the gate do not know what is going on. :x

It was unfortunate that our Scottish holiday clashed with Gaydon so it was an easy alternative for a couple of hours so close to us.It wont happen next year!

In fairness to the the PCGB organisers, they had no control over the signage or the gate being locked.

There was a sign before the main gate directing Porsche owners to the show field, although it was not particularly large. I believe that this will be attended to next year.
The details on the PCGB forum did say that vehicle movement would be restricted between 11:00 and 4:00, although I didn't expect the gate to be locked and I am not sure that anyone else did either.
