Just a heads-up to remind folk that it's the TIPEC NW annual concours on 18.08.13.

It will be a light hearted affair, based more on pride-of-ownership rather than full factory originality. As mentioned on the main NW web-site pages, last years winning car is no longer in the area so the competition is wide open.

The event takes place on the drive of a members' house (it's a long driveway) and there'll be a barbeque, fizzy drinks and maybe cups of tea and coffee. What there won't be is any charge for the barbeque and drinks.

All welcome - mums, dads, children, grand-parents, dogs, cats, ferrets etc, but if you want to come let R.O. Andy know just so that he can organise catering accordingly. For directions, talk to Andy, or join us at The Boatyard for the convoy. See main web-site for full details.

A surprise winner methinks, but a worthy one! 14 cars in attendance and 11 of those in the competition. Thanks to everyone who came along. Great weather too!

Yes me also thinks very unexpected winner but am over the moon. I do beleive there where other cars present that where more worthey of the win but will strive to keep the old girl polished and in tip top condition untill next year ! 5 liters of Autoglym goes a long long way, i may end up as official club polisher just to use it up brfore it goes out of date!

Thanks Sean was a very unaxpected first place for me. I was a little gobsmacked in fact.
Was hoping to be at Gaydon but have had a suprise invite to Vegas for 5 days from my daughter in september so will have to check dates to see if they clash.

Just like to say a big say to John and Marie for their hospitality. Lovely house, great burgers and I think some of us now have garage envy.

Well done Colin on first place you looked suitably shocked though. Let me know when I can book my car in so you can start working through that Autoglym!

Full set of my pictures HERE while we wait for the resident David Baileys (Tony and Richard).

My son's vote for car he wanted to take home. Judging comprised of him walking outside and saying the red one and nothing else could compete:

Never mind all this clean car nonsense, let's take a look at the movers and shakers of the NW region:

A winner and an R.O.

Second place man and serial 996 turbo owner Simon and an R.O. - again.

Serious business apparently...

International man of mystery, Mollytherocker.

Obvious photoshop is obvious. There is no way that this man would be seen in public with any sort of car cleaning product.

Mr AML911 receiving recognition for services rendered to the NW region in the space of the last 12 months: official Snapper, 'fixer' of Southport chippy teas, Junior Reporter and, amazingly, lender of valuable 911 to the proletariat.

Did you hear the one about the baby that fell asleep in the boot of a 993? That'll be Harriettherocker...

Worthy third place winner Sparky Marc. That's Brian in the background, a man with a loud 996!
