 Post subject: Scottish Region July monthly meeting minutes 2011

WEDNESDAY 6th July 2011
TIPEC SCOTLAND

Neil Fraser and Alan Neilson welcomed all along to this evening’s meeting, 11 bodies were present and apologies from Stewart Gordon were received who was feeling a little under the weather this evening. A warm welcome for new member’s Mike Stevens, Jeff Marr and Ronny Macdonald who were present this evening, welcome to the club guy’s. A huge thank you to James McLauchlan this evening for hosting the meeting at his home address in Linlithgow as The normal meeting at Boness Motor Museum was unavailable due to annual holidays by the owner. James the catering arrangements were first class and many thanks for having us!!!

The up and coming show this Sunday (10th July) will be Glamis Castle and we will be meeting at Kinross Services for 08:15 / 08:30 am depart guy’s and doll’s. Those that will be meeting us at the show please wait for myself to arrive to ensure I hand out your pass prior to entry. The entry fee for this show will be £3 pre paid by myself in the meantime. We will be cooking etc once again so please bring along your goodies for us to cook etc. This will be my first time at this venue and I am told it is a super setting and show etc so looking forward to the day!!

On August 7th 2011 The Rotary Club of East Kilbride Kittoch will be hosting a Charity run in Aid of Yorkhill sick kid’s hospital. You and your car if taking part will be required to raise money for the charity and it is suggested that a sum of £25 or more would be appreciated for the charity. There will be a presentation high tea At Carnbooth House Hotel at the end of the run. The region is very dedicated to children’s charities and this is another chance to contribute to these great causes. Next was the August BBQ for club members and there immediate family, this will be held on the 14th of August and we will confirm the location and meet details in due course folk’s. This is a day whereby all club members and the immediate family will be welcome to come along and enjoy a nice BBQ and we will have some fun games and this will be paid for by the Scottish Region and Stewart, Alan and myself will be your slaves for the day, all you have to do is turn up and enjoy. We started this venue firstly last year and proved very successful so hence the reason we are repeating it this year. All names etc to either Stewart Gordon, Alan Neilson or myself to enable us to have approx numbers for the day. This day will be aimed at a family day out so please bring the whole family with you.

The 28th of August we will be looking to have a pub lunch and run day out. The venue etc still to be decided etc and we will keep you posted on the finer details for this once they are confirmed folk’s.

Those of you members who require servicing or any other work to your Porsche, may I remind all that Brian Miller motors, Edinburgh TEL NO.0131 443 7806 IS A PORSCHE SPECIALIST AND IN GERMAN MARQUES. Brian is a Porsche trained mechanic and has over 40 years experience in the business.

A reminder also that anyone wishing to submit an article for the next ALL TORQUE magazine please get this into Tony ASAP to arrange. His contact details are tony@typescape.com He is looking for Porsche related articles or pictures possibly a project recently undertaken or recent trip out! So get pen to paper or fingers to the keyboard.

We look forward to seeing you all at the August meet. Please remember we are at the The Bo-Ness Motor Museum, Bridgeness Road, Bo-Ness,EH51 9JR. for our monthly meet please come along 8pm start time. This venue has light refreshments and a car museum all under one roof not to mention a good sized car park.
