We have a few events coming up in September and October and I need to know how many of you would like to attend;

Sunday September 21st PCGB Show and Shine at Raby Castle
I know it’s the opposition, but even the posh Porsche Club struggle to get cars to display, so their RO has agreed that we can have our own display area. We need to put on a good show so please can you let me know if you would like to attend so that I can let Nick know how many of our cars will be there.

Saturday September 27th and Sunday 28th Croft Circuit DDMC Race Meeting in support of Great North Air Ambulance
Last years event was apparently a great success so this year the organisers have decided to make it bigger and better by holding it over 2 days.
More details to follow as I receive them, but last year I believe that entrance was free for anyone displaying a nice car!

Sunday 19th October Visit to Tom Ferguson Motor Engineers, Gateshead
For those of you who don’t know of Tom Ferguson, he provides one of the TIPEC technical helplines and has over 30 years experience of working on Porsches and this is our opportunity to visit his new workshop and show room at Gateshead. We need to be there for around 10:00 am and as there is a pub behind Tom’s premises we can go for lunch afterwards followed by a run out around Northumberland (weather permitting). I need to know how many will be supporting this visit so that I can let Tom know and also book the lunches with the pub in case they are busy on for Sunday lunch.

Also, please don’t forget that we are back to our normal Sunday evenings at the Sporting Lodge and the next meeting will be Sunday 7th September from 7:30 pm, lets see if we can keep the momentum going as we had 7 cars turn up to the August meeting.

I currently work in Pickering so Im here during the week, however Im home at the weekend which is in Wolviston. When I joined the club it was suggested I attend the North Yorks meetings which are held in York, however it would be better for me to attend the North East meeting going forward.

I will attend the Raby castle and Croft events. I will also come to the next meet on the 7th if this is okay?

I think to be honest I was put into the North Yorkshire club as I registered through my flat which I have in Pickering. If you can transfer my details that would be good.

I was at croft on Monday, a track day, I went with a mate who is tracking a Pug 205 with a MI16 engine, embarrases a few more sportier cars I must admit. I wont take mine out though, Im worried I will kill it!!

I will be going to Raby and have been approached by Nick to display my car as it is the 30th anniversary of the SC, so if there is any other 911 SC's attending, please let me know. I will try to get to the Croft event as well but it is my weekend at work so will have to see what happens. I should be at the monthly meeting meeting also, so see everyone there.

Just a quick reminder that the PCGB show at Raby Castle is this Sunday (21st September). All being well there will be 7 of us from the North East Region attending, which makes it the biggest turn out this year!
If anyone else would like to attend please give me a shout and I will let you know when and where we are meeting up.

I also still need registration numbers from all of those wishing to attend the Air Ambulance Show at Croft next weekend (27th and 28th) so that I can provide them to the organisers. If you're not on the list you may have to pay to get in!
