Thought id be brave and have a go at cleaning the engine. Even though its a Boxster and i hardly look at it thought she deserved it.

Was properly scared starting up afterwards but all was ok.

I owned a 986s for three and a half years. Didn't see the engine once in all that time. Which suited me.

Looks good, JD!

What did you use to spruce up the throttle body?

Looks great and a good job too ... but do they all get that grubby?

As a 944 owner I have no idea about Boxteroonies...!

To be honest i didnt give the trottle body any more attention than a bit more elbow grease with a tooth brush. However i am planning to take it of soon to get it back to original shiney inside and out. I did the whole engine Bay with AG Engine and Machine cleaner then followed up with AG Vinyl and Plastic cleaner.

Not sure if they all get that grubby, would love to know to be honest. You never realy see Boxster engines as we Owners roll thier eyes when someone wants to see it :D
