I am not a detailing freak but it is now time to remove 22 years of dirt from the cream interior of my 944 s2 convertible.

So my question is what products and processes do I use to get it looking like new?

I guess the job can be split into the leater (seats, doorcards and dashboard) and the carpets.

Have a look at this for the leather.

Cleaning the leather is relatively straight forward and you can achieve great results with a bit of hard work and the right products.

As for the non leather items, steam is good on stubborn stains/marks and use the same products that you would use on similar items in the house.

I would second Gliptone leather cleaner and leather feed Ph neutral and works well, I use Autoglyms plastic and rubber cleaner on the dash and door cards and Mr Muscle window cleaner on the screen, carpets just vacuum and see what stains are left, I use household carpet cleaner (foam one) but test it on an unseen area first.

Took a few pictures today of the seats, guessing just a clean and condition will not sort out the cracks? Also is the lower dash leather?

If the cracks are through to the foam then no, if they are on the surface then the clean and colour will sort them out :)

Gliptone cleaner and conditioner ordered. If I am to use the scuffmaster, is it applied after the clean and condition?

Clean first, then use scuff master, after 24 hours condition.

Where to get the scuffmaster from and what colour do I need? Looking at the pictures is it worth using the suffmaster?

I posted a link earlier in the thread, they have a colour chart for each marque.

I guess mine are classed as 944 linen? Excuse the daft question.
