986 roof issue

Roof on my 2003 S has decided to play up.
Has been fine thus far. Used last week without issue but today the roof opened but didn’t want to seat correctly in the rear bay , it did eventually with a bit of a clunk.
When trying to close it, the roof has failed to seat in the retaining front lugs and the locking latch, in both cases finishing above the correct location.
I have been able to manually apply a light pressure to seat the lugs and effect some closure but the locking latch is not playing ball . Clearly that leaves the windows slightly ajar too.

Any thoughts ? Thanks .
