Hi Fellas I've just bought a 2006 Cayman S and would like to get hold of a workshop manual. My last Porsche was a 3.0sc so the Bentley Manuals were an excellent source of information but I assume it's all electronic now? Are there any recommended UK sources for this, preferably on disc rather than download. Cheers Steve H |

'Ello guv. Don't know about a workshop manual but there's a tidy book that I think's pretty good and not too pricey - it's on the Boxster largely but most of it's relevant to Caymans. Maybe worth a look? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Projects-Porsch ... 703&sr=8-1 |

Cheers, looks like a good guide, I'll get that for starters. If there's anything that includes wiring diagrams etc I'd be interested in that as well though.......... |

Hi Welcome Steve nice to see another Cayman S owner ........ maybe post a few pics of it ![]() Sounds like your intentions are very "hands on" I belief the Bentley manuals are pretty expensive and very detailed, do you plan to do much work/mods yourself? Good luck and let us know what you decide on. |

Haven't got round to doing any pics yet TBH! I'm hoping not to have to do much to the car but I do diagnostics for a day job and I'm also an ARDS instructor and trackday organiser so I like to have plenty of info available! I'm helping the club run the porsche only trackday at Blyton in April so I'm sure it will make an appearance there ![]() |

Association of Racing Driver Schools, its the MSA (MotorSport Association) approved setup for licencing race instructors. Trackdaying involves road mileage as well to get to the best venues, the TIPEC one at Blyton is Porsche only and free instruction available (invaluable for 1st timers) so well worth taking a look at. |

Yeah I agree but it's a looooooong way for us - thought we might find somewhere nearer. There's a good chance, being novices (and slightly scaredy cats), that we'd hold peeps up and be unpopular lol. Can we put a sign on the back saying 'Newbies' or something lol? |

Club days tend to be pretty friendly so I wouldn't worry about that, there's a full briefing at the start of the day that explains overtaking rules and track etiquette etc so you'll know how it all works before you go out on track. |
