Porsche 944s2
Reg:G558 PNU
Guards Red
Date of Registration 02/01/1990
MOT passed on 11/4/18 - no advisories.
Car is near Glasgow

Mileage 128888 – this will change as the car is still being driven.
In 2009 the clutch and cambelt were replaced by Brian Miller Motors (Edinburgh).
I purchased the car in October 2011
Since that time the following work has been carried out.
2013 – George Morrison (Glasgow)
8/5/13
N/S/F Arm replacement
16 wheel nuts replaced
14/11/2013
Brake Refurb and Handbrake shoes/springs replaced
New rotor cap and rotor
Clean CV joints and replace inner/outer boots
Replace O/S/F ball joint
Replaced Fuel Pipes
Cambelt and rollers
Fan belt
Fuel filter
Joe McEwan (Cambuslang) 2013
Replace Outer sills, lower front wing sections and rear wheel arch.
Repair signs of rust on rear panel below number plate
Partial re-paint of lower half of car. (only windscreen struts and roof not painted)
Semtec (Kirkintilloch) This is my longstanding garage, noted for custom performance exhausts)
They have serviced the car yearly and put it through it’s MOT’s as well as…
3/5/12
PowerFlex frot and rear polybushes fitted.
£196
14/3/16
Eurosport custom steel exhaust rear section
Fit Koni front adjustable shocks and rear shocks (£300 for these parts alone plus new boots)
Crankcase flush
Oil change
Pro-grip (Larbet)
14/2/17
Computer alignment – car drives very well!!!!

A few things would make this car completely finished.
Paint top half and sunroof.
Replace sunroof seals – the odd leak – but not an issue for me as always covered.
New radio – the Sony presently fitted is fine, and I have the original 6 CD changer and leads should you wish to fit this.
I also have the strips for underneath the sills. I left these off after the sills were done as they gather water and dirt, causing corrosion.
Please note – due to advice from my insurer I will be unable to allow test drives. I am happy to take serious buyers out for a drive. Absolutely no test pilots!! Sorry.

Looking for some feedback. I have advertised the car in numerous places. Looking about sites the price is in the correct range but no enquires as yet.
Is the information not good enough? Is it priced wrongly or is the market just slow.

I have now seen a couple of 911's, but need to move this first!

Any tips would be appreciated.

It's a fairly niche market so can sometimes take a while to find the right buyer.

The cambelt service is now overdue. No mention of when the water pump was last changed. When was the coolant last changed? When was the brake fluid last changed? Has the tensioner slipper ever been changed? Which service is next due and when.

If all of the above need doing soon, that's quite a cost for a potential new owner.

Also, buyers may be put off by not being allowed to test drive. Might be easier if worded differently such as "proof of insurance required before test drive". Once you have someone interested, you can then go into the details of what that means.

Might be worth stating what's original and sought after, such as those D90 wheels.

All the above just feedback, not criticisms.

Cheers,
Bryan

Looks a lovely car OP,,,,,
may have to knock a few quid off as its Cambelt etc time,,
recently had mine with all belts,,tensioners,,idlers,,water pump,,,,,
if you can have that work done then it may put you in a stronger position but as your aware it wont be cheap tp do it right,,,,,what was the mileage when the clutch was fitted?,,,always good to state this,,,mine had her new clutch at 80k miles and now is on 116k miles,,,,,All electrics working?,,,,,,
all the very best,,,,,jasonp

The MOT history shows that it failed in 2013 on excessive corrosion to the seat belt anchorage points.
I think you need to elaborate on what remedial work has been carried out to rectify this.
For me this is far more important than belt and chain changes which are a fairly simple DIY job.
Just my 2p

Great advice. I know the belts and debated getting them done or taking money off. I just want to move it on so will have a think about doing a few jobs.
Thanks again.

The problem with money off is how much. If it needs a water pump, idlers, tensioners & top hats that adds up to a tidy sum & that is without any labour. On an S2 you obviously have cam chain & tensioners. The last oil change was 2016, should have been done twice since then. Yearly or 12K
