Hi All,

Im in the market for a very specific 997 C4S - thought someone out there might have one and be considering selling/trading.

Must be......
Manual
Sub 40k miles
Black Leather

If you have anything you think might be suitable do let me know. Ive been keeping my eye on one for sales at Westover Lotus, but feel the price is highly over inflated.

I am looking after one for a friend who now lives in Spain.

2006 C4S, Basalt Black, manual, black leather, sports exhaust etc. 40257 miles when I drove it yesterday. He is in two minds about selling but to be honest he probably would.

However there were a handful of advisories on the last MOT and to be honest to make it mint it needs repainting - its just received several scuffs over the years that are beyond the capabilities of a machine polisher. If he does want to sell it then it will be priced accordingly due to the above, he is under no illusions what it needs to be sold at in the current condition. I am tempted myself but doubt I could raise the funds.

I don't want him to sell it as I get a choice of two Porsches to use

Sorry for the delay in reply, i appreciate the offer but doesnt sound like what I'm looking for. Though it would be a great project for someone!

No problem. I reckon he would sell it to me for 10k, and I would seriously consider it. He's owned it since new and it has full OPC history. Its not that I'd be buying an unknown quantity project, it just needs a good tidy up and a bit of TLC.

Good luck with your search

At 10k I would be ripping his arm off

I am considering selling mine to get a turbo but it`s not quite the spec the OP wants.

Cobalt Blue, grey leather, 31k miles, PSE, factory aero, Bose, etc, etc.
Just had major service at specialist to include 4 new calipers, 4 new discs, 2 new front springs and strut tops. Had new PSE silencers late last year. Needs nothing, lovely bodywork, never painted apart from touching up stone chips (professionaly)

Would be, quite a bit, in excess of £30k

He hasn't used it for nearly a year, I'm the only one putting miles on it! He'd only get £15k p/x at the most I reckon and to be honest I can't see many people wanting to buy a 997 as a project. People who want a 997 will already have 25-30k available so why would they look at one that needs work? :?

He's back for a couple of days next week so I'll have a chat and see what he wants to do. I know I'd get mates rates on it but even then it might be out of my reach without selling my 944 :(
