A friend of mine is looking at this car - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1732852.htm. I've not come across R&W Motor Company, anyone know anything about them good or bad??

Thanks

Hi Jo :)

Hmm. Non-existent domain name, non-turbo wheels (why fit GT3 ones?), pictures taken in an anonymous industrial park & operating off a mobile. I'd be giving it a miss personally.

IIRC, I've seen another advert from these guys - that was shot on what looked like a building site. Nice!

Update:
I've just pulled their accounts & it seems that their turnover was £2.2M last year, so maybe I mis-judged them

Update2:
I've just Google Street Viewed their given trading address and it's a pair of scruffy-looking semi-detached houses, so maybe first impressions are correct. It's

1276/1278 Greenford Road
Greenford
UB6 0HH

for those interested...

I've been down there a few months ago when looking for another car. It is in a back street within some sort of warehouse. They have a number of cars under there ranging from your run of the mill family run around to Evos and Porsches.

They struck me as the type of outfit which could be there one day but gone the next.

If they have a car that interests you, I would treat it like a private sale, get it inspected by a Porsche specialist (or by RSJ which is not too far) and assume any warranty they give you won't pay out.
