| Post subject: | 911 996 replacing door window |
I have had my 911 c 4 s for about 6 months and am ploughing through a long list of things to do. Has any one ever experienced changing a door window and about how much can I be expected to shell out for a new one. The one in the drivers door has a few lines where the previous owner couldn't be bothered to clean the window rubbers out. I was wondering if they can be polished out as well. |

Just searched the internet and found someone who can polish out the scratches. Not that cheap but if it works, better than a new screen and door glass. Will post when it's done and whether it worked |

Just had both door window scratches polished out. What a difference it makes, the glass looks almost new. An absolute fraction of the cost of replacing the door glass, getting the guy back in a few weeks to do the screen,,,,,another job off the list, Also I have had the build sticker attached to the underside of the bonnet re done (bit anal I know but it looks good) all I had to do was get as much detail off the original that was there and take it to my local sign writers. |
