has anyone here fitted one of these or something similar?

http://www.design911.co.uk//fu/prod766/ ... m_content=

im very dubious of their horsepower claims, however i would be interested in a slightly more noisy induction sound and it seems like all of these claim to do that. Im interested if anyone has any experience with them?

thanks

Well I've bitten the bullet for £86, Again not expecting performance changes but i hope to tweak the sound slightly, i shall report on what I find once fitted which is likely to be spring time.

Have you also ordered the filter kit ?

I think it is recommended ...... The BMC kit is rated well against the K&N kit.

I've not and the only reason being is that I'm due a service so I'm going to discuss filter options with the place i get the service done to see what they recommend

I just thought id update this thread to say, at the weekend I attempted to fit the kit from porsheshop.co.uk

after 10 - 20 mins of fiddling it was clear that the large pipe wasn't going to fit, it was far too long to fit between the airbox and the throttle body. I decided to cut it down, i sliced off between 2cm and an inch from the length at the airbox side, which then allowed the pipe to fit, unfortunately the pipe was now frayed and not quite square. I thought i might live with it and see if it worked, but then I tried to fit the cap on the airbox resonator part. the cap would not go on no matter how hard I tried. It was just too small, i tried to warm it and stretch it, but it was between 5mm and 1cm too small, any more force and i think i would have cracked the airbox, it certainly would not have needed the supplied jubilee clip to hold it in place had I got it on. In the end I gave up. I've sent in a complaint to the porsche shop as this product was designed to fit this car according to the site, but I dont feel this to be the case. anyone attempting to fit this would quickly realise it doesn't fit. So i wouldn't waste your money for the time being and ill let you know what they say when they get back to me.

Thanks
