So, came home to this last night..

I park in a Cul-de-Sac, and am guessing someone didn't know how to perform a Three Point Turn properly.. Fortunately for the 997.1 GT3 Owner who parks opposite me, I took the brunt of the ineptitude..

Bumper is cracked, paint is missing but Parking Sensor seems undamaged [the irony].. I was unable to get my hand up and under to punch out the Ding however..

So, next steps..? I don't wanna claim on my Insurance [it would be my first claim] but, Excess notwithstanding, would it be worth it? Exhaust sounds fine so assuming no damage to that, might even be a little high up the fender for it anyways..

I feel your pain...

I'd be tempted to take a look underneath just to check for damage (or get a suitably qualified adult to check for you) just in case something is touching something it shouldn't etc.

I reckon that the bumper can be saved - a good independant body-shop will be able to warm up the bumper, push the dent out and make good.

Shame that there are tw@ts about that drive away after causing such damage. My own 997 has picked up two minor dents recently that have needed the magic of the dent-man to sort out after kind folk have knocked my car.

Might have to get the Wife to do that then..

Yeah, good point about the "something is touching something it shouldn't etc.".. I was gonna pop into OPC Guildford anyways on Monday so might get them to take a look [leaving my Wallet at home of course]..
