Hi All,
I am looking to replace my lower arms (fronts initial) and looked at Prices. There is a big difference between Porsche parts prices and others found on the internet. to the extent that I have found 4 for less than the price of 1 from Porsche, so are the non Porsche ones any good?

I am thinking of upgrading the bushes anyway, but thinking of doing this on a new arm, so are the Porsche arms 4 x better than others in the market?
Thanks

I would always be careful where you buy from off the net.

As a Club member you get discounts from reputable independent traders, like JMG, Design 911, ProMax etc.

Thanks Sean, I will see what JMG and ProMax do (admit I did not spot them in the Mag).

Thanks

The reason that you can find cheaper ones is because the OEM (TRW I think) who makes them for Porsche now sells direct. Hartech used to recondition them but I believe doesn't any more because the TRW are cheaper.

Edited to say: Baz is still listing the parts so shop around.

cheers guys,
Yes TRW are the originals but also found some made by MEYLE, which are a German company and can be had cheaper, but from speaking a friend who has a boxster, he bought some of these with the intention to upgrade the bushes, only to find the aftermarket bushes only fit the TRW's!

I am undecided as to if I upgrade the bushes, and probably won't so may give a pair of MEYLE a try? (as found them for less than £120 for a pair- set of 4 £207!

So far so good the MEYLE's have been in for a few weeks now, the old arms were shot! The car is far better to drive now, far more dialled in :D

I have had to have it tracked twice thus far as it was miles out after changing the arms.
