My opinion is to leave them as is, they really are more than adequate for road use. If it's for track then consider upgrades.

Depends on what you've driven before but these cars have much less servo assisted feel than most cars especially Audi/VW and the like so less initial bite but they are plenty powerful enough with a bit more leg effort, believe me!

Agreed re servo assistance - you need to press the pedal a bit!

I must be a right wimp my brake feel crap. That said they seem to work better the harder you drive. What I am trying to say is the brakes are ok but you do have to press hard.

That means you're getting heat into them. Might be worth changing them for a known quantity. For road use I've always rated EBC Greens little brake dust & good progressive brakes.
I know I drove one of our members 911 the other day & found the brakes horribly over servo'd & unprogressive. Whereas my Boxster which is pretty much the same running gear has fantastic brakes.

Upgraded mine with standard pads & discs last year. Admit they take a bit of getting used to, but have found that even when driving hard they stop plenty quick enough and do not fade. My only observation (and this might just be mine) is that the pedal is quite long for my liking but have not had the opportunity to compare to another car.
Agree with the others, if your planning on doing track days regularly upgrades would be better.
Don't forget to change the fluid while your at it :D
Good luck
