Acquired my Turbo about three weeks back, my first Porsche.
Looking forward to some decent weather. At the mo I spend more time cleaning than driving

Hope to see some of you in the summer.

Welcome, nice car.

Forget cleaning just drive or at least drive it more than cleaning!

Thanks for the welcome guys. This was supposed to appear in the What's Yours thread. Guess I hit new topic by mistake. oops.

Agreed Sean,it is a lot of car. Quite awesome actually and by far the quickest thing I ever drove.
I had a 1972 Lotus Elan some years back and till now that was the best drivers car I ever had. Not quick by modern standards but it sure let you know when you got it right.
I've a feeling the 996 will become my favourite once we get to know each other a little better. I've only been on dry roads once in the last three weeks!

Still Sunday morning looks promising, so here's hoping.

Sorry Wazzer but I think I'm keeping this one :D

Cheers,

Welcome - Very Nice Car (Mines a Turbo also - 944 though :D )
As said above don't get into the habit of cleaning it more than driving it. I did with my previous (superb) 944S2 Cab but then upgraded to a Turbo for much more driving than cleaning.
(Makes sense thats what they are made for  )
