I've been away all week and left the car with George Morrison Porsche to find out what is draining the battery? Turns out, after 3 days of testing, it's the alarm module. If it was unplugged under the passenger seat, the drain dropped to around 0.01/0.02 of an amp. New alarm module fitted and all codes cleared, and everything looked good.............. until we switched the air con back on and another drain appeared. Turns out I had 2 faults, the relay wasn't in right for the air con and was ok once we pulled it out and pushed it back in. Possibly a vibration has shaken it out? Possibly wasn't in right for years. I thought something was wrong as it was a green 964 part number, but apparently they were used for a while in 996's. I just need to pick it up on Monday, with my spare key for re-promming and I'm off again. :D

Is that what killed the alternator?

Another flat battery, charged it up slowly since the weekend and kept in the house on the battery conditioner. By the time I walked out and connected it to the car, it only had 10 volts............

After fitting 3 brand new Bosch batteries this year, I've finally fitted a Yuassa battery 2 weeks ago and haven't had an issue since. Early days, but better than at least one of the Bosch batteries.
