I'm in HEAVEN! <sigh>

Just driven the car back from Chichester to Bracknell - nice long drive. The car IS GORGEOUS! No rattles (yet) drives like a wonderful Sunday car until the right foot is planted and then.... WHOA!

BIG smile on the dial at the moment.... gosh - am I going to be able to sleep tonight?

Neighbours all shaking their heads.. heh heh

Pics as soon as I can!

Did you take the real twisty route over the South Downs, I used it loads of time this year as we did a year long job at the hospital in Chichester and it was superb.

Hi Paul

No - just followed the SatNav home 'cos we don't know the roads. Fortunately a nice dry sunny day great weather all the way. Brilliant.

Just been out again for a quick drive to Maidenhead and back. Came out of Pinkney's Drive on the way back to the A404(M) and on the straight planted the foot on the metal. BLOODY H*LL!! Upwards of a ton in only a few seconds and she was still pushing hard in my back. This car is unbelievable. Drives like an old lady's car until you nudge it and then.... OH MY GOD! :D :D :D

Cheers
Chris

Glad you are enjoying the new toy

Next time you go down to Chichester get a map out & the best route is down to Basingstoke, then through Alton & then use the A272 (I think) & then past the back of Goodwood.
It used to put a smile on my face in a Company Ital in a Turbo it would be fantastic.

Edited: just checked it is the A339 then on to the B3006,right onto the B2070 then left onto the B2146 then then the B2141 to West Lavant where you turn onto the A286

Years since I've driven this route (eek just worked it out probably 25+) but used to be fantastic.

Hi Gary

She loves it too. Several times on the way home she was heard to say stuff like "Yes - it was the right time to get rid of the 928". The great thing about this car is that she can drive it too. She never drove the 928 because for one I was too precious about it and because it was just too "raw" I guess.

So when we going to be able to get together so I can show you the new beastie?

Cheers
Chris

What does the remap cost and how would it affect the insurance? You know - the old question "Has the car been modified in any way?"

Cheers
Chris

You might want to delete your posts.

Typical Turbo owner, buys it and 5 minutes later wants to make it go faster

Nah! - I'm not going to do the remap - yet!

If I do... I'll make the decision re insurance at that point. Want to be sure I'm covered etc.

Car is pretty quick. Easily quicker than the 928 and she was pretty awesome.

OK OK - I have to know. Where did you get yours done? What did it cost? How long did it take?

What has happened to the 928 Chris? It isn't listed on the RSJ site, you haven't got it secreted in a garage somewhere to bring it out in APril as an April Fool have you

Sadly, I don't have the 928 any more, Jim. I PX'ed it at Harbour Cars in Chichester for the 996 Turbo. They are a great bunch and I'd heartily recommend them to anyone thinking of buying a car.

Cheers
Chris
