Post subject:  964 Starting Issue

Hi guys help needed 1990 964 the problem is for no reason it cuts out and will not start it turns over but will not fire leave it 2/3 hours and away we go as sweet as a nut it started on a trip back from france changed dme relay genuine porsche one and replaced fuse have done over 300 miles and it failed twice more not sure what to look for next any ideas please thanks byron

Could be a number of things, can't you take it somewhere and plug it in to identify the issue? if I had to start somewhere I would have a stab at coil packs?

Hi thanks for the info its so intermittent its hard know what it is it only started 3 weeks ago its to old for a diagnostics check will not log files but thanks for a reply byron.

check your coil packs though

Good luck diagnosing this problem.

How long are you letting it crank over for?
