Hi,

I was chatting at work with someone who I know in passing, when we got onto cars. Turns out he's got a 993 that he's thinking of selling in order to purchase a Ferrari 360. The 993 is Carrera 2, MY1994, manual, black coupe with about 130,000 miles. Always garaged as it's his third car. He's had it 6 years and kept up the service record. He wants £27,000 which sounds on the cheap side to me. He actually said he wanted £25,000 then changed his mind later!

Is this price about right or is it something I'll kick myself for if I miss it?

Cheers,
Bryan

Thanks Mike.

From the lack of "wow, that's a bargain" or "what's wrong with it" type comments, it sounds like this is about the right price. It's not going anywhere soon, so plenty of time to make my mind up, although for that money, it would have to be my daily driver. Anyone want to buy my Alpina B3 BiTurbo (E92)? Sounds like too many ducks to line up at once.

If anyone else is interested, I'd be happy to put you in touch with the seller.

Cheers,
Bryan

Hi Bryan,

I'm hoping to be in the market for a 993 soon, do you know if your colleague still has the 993 and is still considering selling?

Thanks,

Chris

Chris,

Talking to him recently, it sounds like he's intending to keep it, but that may be because I told him I'm no longer interested, having bought an Audi RS4 as my daily drive. I can certainly ask him though.

Cheers,
Bryan

Thanks Bryan, that would be great.

Looks like my Cayman will be going tomorrow, passed an inspection at Porsche Chester today, buyer is coming tomorrow so I think he intends to buy it. Although we haven't agreed a price yet!

Sorry, he's just fitted a fabspeed exhaust and some cup alloys as he intends to keep it. Good luck with your search.

No worries. Thanks for asking though, much appreciated.

The Cayman went today, so I'm Porsche-less! Weird seeing an empty garage. Not for long hopefully.
