Thanks for photos Steve, very nice.

Love the black wheels on a white car.

I was probably sat in the club meeting room when you took your photos so sorry I missed it in the flesh. But know who you are now! Will say hello at the next meet if you are there.

Probably lower cam covers, If I had put a pound in a savings account every time in the last 25 years I have had to change lower cam cover gaskets on 964's I would probably have enough to... erm.. Ok, not enough to buy a holiday home in Florida, but certainly enough for a couple of weeks there on holiday! lol

Hi Jon,

If you weren't so far away i'd be booking the car in for some work!
Is that a big job?

"If I had a pound every time..." - said many times, but it doesn't really work in this instance when you think how much you did make, as one assumes you must have charged more than a pound for the job.....

Not a criticism, just being amusing :)

Oh yes, made more than a pound each time, I just wish I had saved a pound each time into a savings account.

But, I think it was more of a dig at myself for always saying "If I had a pound for..." such as, "If I had a pound for each time I told my youngest son to clean his room this month" which is a bit daft, because most of the time when I say that the answer is I would not have enough for pint at the local! lol

To Steve1973, its not a super massive job, but a slightly time consuming to clean all the surfaces so it will seal properly, and using the right gaskets.

There is a chance that you have rotten oil drain back tubes, which can be replaced without tearing apart the engine, but still not a quick 5 min job to do properly.

Hi Jon,

Thanks for taking the time to reply! I'll enjoy it a bit longer before exploring that issue further... In the meantime i've just had 2 CV boots replaced, with the other 2 rear boots being replaced in the near future, the car's booked into an independant Porsche garage near to where i live for rear discs, pads etc next Friday, and the rear tyres will be getting replaced very shortly indeed.

So...i'm wishing i collected coins for every time i said something (probably along the lines of "D'OH!"), because i'm seriously skinted now!!

Still- SUPERB car ;)

P.s. Check out "I Want That Car" on ITV4, Wednesday 4th December... :D :!:
