Had it lowered when I bought it, about 2 inches, any lower and it would bottom on the speed humps on the road where I live, only other mods are a full Dansk stainless system inc SSI, clear side and front indicator lenses and a strut brace which the insurance company were very interested in when I declared it, apart from that it's standard, first pic is at Classic LeMans, second at Hatton this year

Today was the day I tucked up the 993 for the winter :( took off the wheels, pressure washed the wheel arches and undersides, gave everything a spray with Duck oil, and washed the car. Tomorrow I will wax it and clean inside, put on the cover, plug in the charger and say goodbye until the end of March, roll on Springtime :sunny:

Duck oil sounds good to me!,well i have now got my piece of stainless sheet back from the fabricator and its time for cutting and fitting in place of the old cardboard cover that hides the fan and all the nasties behind the rear of the bulk head,i had the fabricator drill and swage the holes to make them look a bit more finished, the stainless sheet came with an engine turned finish which takes away the flatness of the material, after a lot of trimming edges and making up the mounting brackets it was all ready to fit, a bit of bending here and there and drill four holes, take off the protective plastic film and bolt it in place,it certainly makes a more up-to-date custom fitment than the old cardboard and i have enjoyed the challenge of making something myself for the car, anyone else done anything to their aircooled recently?

Fitted spacer behind CS steering wheel washed her and took her out for a spin to check improvement on knee clearance. Encountered road full of cow shit. washed her again.

Adjusted handbrake. Finding the adjuster is a real pain so I marked the back plate for next time.

Today (well Friday/Saturday) I drove the RS from Somerset to Silverstone.
Competed in the VSCC Pomeroy Trophy, in the sleet and snow.
Came 8th.
And then drove home.

A top weekend.

Well done, there will not be many 40 year old cars that could do that :)

How do you manage the tyre situation and spannering?
