I'm backdating a 1986 911 3.2 to a 2.7 RS replica. I'd like to change the mirrors from the standard electric mirrors to chrome round rs mirrors. Similar to

The mount's for the new mirrors are much smaller than the standard mirrors. Any ideas on the best way to fit them appreciated.

If you want them to sit at the right angle I would recommend some metal working is required to fill the flag mirror locating holes and make up fastening points for the new mirrors.

May be easier to either get a pair of early doors or to re-skin yours.
