I have a total track beast...

If you've ever had the pleasure of a Chris Franklin Test Drive - we did the "roundabout" at around 35mph...

in the wet....

On semislick R888's...

He has made "Sheila" wear full RS alignment specs, coupled with the rosejoint droplinks, PSS10 suspension and RS 90 Shore Poweflex bushes, new TRE's and lower balljoints - well, it even impressed Chris, a lot!!!

I really can't recommend him enough, he attention to detail, his working tolerance, he perservered until the settings were straight down the line, and it has REALLY paid off.

It handles better now in the rain than it ever did in the dry.

I really, really, cant wait to get this thing on the track.

Project nearly complete :D

Well,

Another customer from Center Gravity has just got home and the car is a different animal altogether

My car is a standard 993 Targa but we drove the test roundabout at 28 mph at the start of the rush hour without any sign of slip, drift or squeal from the rear. There must be more to come.

The car now steers on its own left of right with the camber of the road, this is hands off at the legal limit.

It also brakes in a straight line, hands off, at speeds I will not mention

In addition to this it feels as though it sits harder on the road and that the aerodynamics of the underside are now working properly and this is felt through the whole car with more direct and responsive steering feedback as well as steering input being sharper.

No more yaw in the car and it goes around corners as if on rails, a bit scary really.

The only downside in terms of performance is that I will need new front shocks within a couple of years; bottom rebound is fine but compression of shocks is too fast and so car just starting to run soft at the front.

The only other downside is more learning to do as well as the fact that I doubt if I can ever fully explore the performance envelope of the car; it has more to offer than I can give. Still must keep trying!
