The windwos and sunroof have suddenly stopped working on my 1985 3.2 Carrera.

I have looked through the wiring diagram and think they must be controlled by the same relay. The earth points seem OK, as does the fuse.

Any ideas other than the relay and where is the relay - behind the dashboard?

Thanks

I had the instruments out today to look for the relay, but failed to find it - where abouts should I be looking?

Are you sure yours is an 85 car? Up to 84 they used the standard round relay in the front boot, from 1985 they used the square 944 one I mentioned earlier

Fixed it!!

Finally tracked the relay down to a small 2-relay panel behind the clock (extreme right from the driving seat).

I fiddled about with the relay for a while, but eventually bought a secondhand replacement from James Eaton (West Road Garage, Weaverham - www.only9.co.uk) on fleabay.

Instant success! Not only the windows, but also the sunroof, which is on the same circuit.
