The fuel must be at least 3 years old :o I am going to have to fill her up in 2 years

Mate you let me down thought you would at least have got into 3 figures

Looking forward to seeing you, the old girl and the rest of the bunch on Sunday :bounce:

Maybe I should go for a world record, and see how few miles a fully briefed, serviced car can travel over 10 years.

I am on less than 500 since 2009

Returned earlier this week from a fantastic 2,400 mile Scottish tour. Up the West coast taking in Isles of Mull, Iona & Skye and up to Ullapool and Summer Isles. Back down through the Cairngorms and Fife.
I think we were lucky with good weather (top down every day bar one), lack of traffic and midges.
Fantastic scenery, great hospitality and food. Even the locals were very friendly!
By the end of the trip the novelty of single track roads with passing places had worn off particularly when stuck behind a motor caravan for mile after mile.
Very very few porsches on the roads away from the larger cities.
Pleased to report my 964 cabriolet performed faultlessly except for a water leak with roof seal which I had just replaced (clearly done a crap job of it).
See attached link to some photos.
Nick
NB. Next trip is the club trip to Classic Le Mans and Loire Chateaux in July.

Cleaned all the dead flies off from lemans last weekend and fixed my central locking issue without having to spend £60 on a new microswitch. Happy days.

Last week-end spent changing front lamps back to original Orange as I don't like the clear lenses that were on it, doesn't do it justice. This week-end will be pulling out Headlamps and cleaning dead spiders out of the inside, and good polish using Zymol to compliment the expensive waxing previous owner had done just before I bought her last year. Then it'll be time for a quick run up to and around Burton on Trent back way through some beautiful country side, might even stop for a beverage on route..

Pictures to follow when I can get download sorted..

Following on with what did you do with your 964 today, I think I have almost fixed 99% of the oil leaks.
Its taken about 18 months lots of head scratching, gaskets and ‘o’ rings but old ratty (it’s slate grey and just loves racing about) is now clean.
I think a lot of the problems with oil leaks are that the joints dry out and they also work loose so need periodical checking.
Fitted LED’s to the side lights and rear number plate lights, wow what a better light just all white and not that orange glow we all have.
Fitted a K&N filter, now this mod makes absolutely now difference to performance, fuel consumption or anything like that but it has made the engine bay a lot more simple to work in, so from a performance point of view don’t bother but for ease of access, a big plus bonus.
Done loads of other stuff and if anyone is interested I can warble on about the high level brake light mod for £5.00, fix your rear spoiler up and down bearings for £2.50 (price could have gone up as this was done last year) fix the spoiler module with bits from Maplins (£10 ish)
