Hi All,

Just thought I'd share my experience of three parts suppliers I used recently.
All parts ordered late evening on 23/3/09.

First - Opie Oils, brilliant service & good communication. Oil arrived next working day (24/3)
Top marks 10/10 :D
Second - Design911, again great service & part arrived in two days (25/3) 9.5/10 :)
Thirdly - supplier who shall remain nameless at present but still waiting for oil filter. E-mailed today to ask where it was & he replied he was short staffed & would try & send it in todays post if he could 1/10 :x
I wouldn't have minded so much If he'd e-mailed to say it would be delayed.

Ordered all these parts with a view to change the oil over the weekend but have been unable to complete the job due to this delay. Certainly won't be using them again.
Even more annoyed because I ordered the filter first but forgot I needed an oil line & this supplier didn't list them but could have got both from Design911

You live & learn.
Phil.

TBH I either use a local factor or the local OPC. The last time we ordered filters the OPC chucked in a handful of new sealing rings as well & it was a quid or so more than the MANN (Porsche OEM) I get from the factors, so we'll be using OPC in future. Our OPC (Tonbridge) deliver as well!

No, a little further South than that, don't really want to name them unless the goods don't arrive, I think it's better to give praise when you receive good service from a company. It may have been a one off but really annoying all the same, ecspecially when a quick e-mail to explain the delay could have avoided the situation. ( Sellers take note )

Phil.

haha that was all the stuff, excluding oil. I dont think they like posting out oil/batteries. So I will get the oil locally.
