I have just recently taken delivery of a new GT3 and since having the car the breaks have screamed at me. Squeaking really loud. It has been back to the dealer twice now and they have told me that these cars are built with no shims on the pads, they have put new shims in but the breaks are still screaming. They have now said that it is a track car and it doesnt do enough heavy breaking which sounds a bit like a get out to me. Is there anyone out there with a new GT3 with a similar problem? The breaks are steel not ceramic.

I look forward to hearing from anyone out there with any advice.

Talk to you soon
Brian

Sounds like you need to book a track day so you can thrash the car and really put the pressure on the brakes - if they're still squealing afterwards you will be able to go back and complain (and you will have a great day out! :D )

If it cures the squeal you will be :D ( and have had a great day out!)
