I've recently had very bad/non-existent customer service from Porschepart. They sent me out a faulty PAS pump, which I had fitted (and then removed).

They sent out another one which works, but I'm still out of pocket, plus it was a waste of time. I've sent two letters, with copies of my mechanic's invoices and reports...nothing.

Maybe they're good at taking parts off a shelf and putting them in a box and sending them out. But I wouldn't advise going to them for a re-conditioned PAS pump.

Porscheshop.

Still no word. I'm going to call them again today. I might even ask for my original pump back. I think you're right, I think they take a PAS pump, rinse it, shake it about a bit, rub it with a cloth and send it back out...If it doesn't work they can just claim it did: your word against theirs.

Still, my fault for sticking with them. My Dad has a a name for a person who makes the same mistake twice...

They didn't like it when I told them it looked Refurbed with a jet wash rather then rebuilt.

Yeah, I added my concerns to that thread on PH but just noticed the thread has now been removed. Not sure why.

I purchased some car mats for my 997 from Porsche Shop last month, I ordered a set of black mats for a 997 coupé but received a set for a Bose equipped 997 cabriolet. It's an easy thing to spot as there was a big cut-out on the passenger footwell where the subwoofer should be. This in itself wasn't a big issue, anyone can make mistakes, but when I called them I was shocked by their response, rather than simply offering to replace the mats with the correct set for my car they decided to argue with me over the placement of the Bose subwoofer in my car. I explained that it is behind the rear seats, not in the footwell, because it is a coupé, not a cab, and that's where they always are but they insisted I was wrong.

I honestly couldn't believe what I was hearing, no refund or replacement was offered, instead they had to go away and "look into the matter". I had to call them back a few times and, to their credit, they did eventually get it sorted but their attitude was awful and I was not offered an apology at any point. I wouldn't deal with them again after that experience which is a shame as they have a great catalogue of parts at competitive prices on their website.

And so it continues...

I've been chasing them to re-pay the deposit you put down when you buy the 're-furbed' (don't get me started) PAS pump.

"I'll call you back as soon as possible, Mr. Taylor"...

Never again, even if it costs more elsewhere.
