Check out this video of a Porsche engined V.W. Karmann Ghia. (Shame it's in German).

Rear end kicked out a bit too easy for my liking but it looks like a lot of fun for a trackday

My German is pretty ropey, but I think that’s 944 suspension, anti-roll bars, etc with a Boxster engine and some GT3 performance parts. Maybe.

Fun!

WOW thats cool, i think its a modded 3.6 lump in there, the rear did look a little lively, but with 250+ horses thats to be expected, love the car

It has a 944 turbo suspension and a 3.6L boxer engine of 321HP and 6-speed gearbox from the 993 with various RS upgrades.
At least that's what they say.

Ah … she said ‘boxer’ not ‘Boxster’. Thanks!

It looks like a really clever cut and shut. The interior looks 911-ish and I do believe the roof is off a 911. So have they grafted the back and front ends of a Karmann Ghia onto a 911? Clever stuff.

i love those camper vans, there was a series of programs on sky, i think it was discovery, where someone restored a camper van, it was badly rotten and the restorer wanted to scrap it, but it was finished and looked sweet !

I am determined to own a Karmann Ghia one day. Just for the beauty of the damned things …
