I have been requesting DVLA to release a number plate I've wanted for nearly a year and all they keep telling me is it'll be released to auction once they receive enough interest. I expect this will likely take years unless the interest in it is bumped forward by some very nice, helpful people who aren't actually interested in it.

The plate I'm after is F944 MJW if anyone fancies putting a request through to the DVLA for it to be released to auction I would very much appreciate it.

http://dvlaregistrations.direct.gov.uk/contactus/ and click on 'Checking the availability of a personalised registration number not found on the website' which is the 3rd from the bottom.

It's so ridiculous that the DVLA can't just put a price on the plate and offer it to whoever asks for it but there you go, nothing in life is simple eh.

Thanks for your help in advance,

Michael

My first car was a Mini (wasn't ours' all?!). The reg was 36 FLT (original). I sold the car for 20 quid - years later I saw the same plate going for 3k quid!

Hi Micheal,

I am happy to do that for you.

Perhaps you and anyone else who doesn't mind helping could do the same for me?

I am after JEF 944T
