I heard the very sad news that Robert Dunlop has been killed in a practice accident at the North West 200. I have been very privileged to see Robert and his late brother Joey racing a many times at the TT and races in Ireland and it's really sad that they're both gone now.

RIP Robert 1960-2008

Good to see that his son Michael won the 250 race there. I am sure that Robert would be very proud of him

Yes very sad news.

They both died doing what they loved - something they would never have given up even though they were probably a bit old to be doing it at such a high level.

Good on them really.

Very sad, the Dunlop family certainly have bike racing in their veins!

Yes ,a great shame. A proper road racing hero and inspiration to many youngsters.
