How about for the new year we set a range of challenges for the regions?

As an idea we could have, region that has visited most other regions

any suggestions?

Stop nicking my ideas Gordon!

I suggested a set of photo challenges, that each region can complete and provide photographic proof of throught the year, to really bring together the club and help cross region members to get to know each other better.

Silly ideas are things like a teddy beans picnic, a treasure hunt, a fancy dress day, daft things that people can interpret in their own way and that we can all have a good laugh at later.

I was also wondering about Scotland region hosting a get together next summer to get some of you Southern chaps up to our area, we can plan a few drives and some enteertainment.

Nah Brett we'll have a few corners put in, then make it longer than 5 minutes so the gas runs out
Oh & we'll call it a track day. Wasn't it Roger Penske who said "When the flag drops the Bull sh1t stops"

How about an Inter Regional karting race?

Many places do 3 hr endurance races for around £250 a team, so a team of 3-4 from each Region would be circa £60-£80 each

Inter-region karting sounds like a great idea.

The South East region already does this. Come along it's great fun. We had 10 teams last year including members form Exeter and Taunton making up the numbers. You'll have my team to beat though

Cool - when is your next one likely to be, what sort of location and costs? Methinks an overnighter to the SE coast could be on the cards 8)

I was more thinking of things each region could do by itself, but in friendly competition with other regions. Quite simply being up here in Scotland we can feel quite left out, we can't easily visit another region for a club meet or daytime drive. Wish it was easier but the 6 hour round trip puts paid to silly plans!
