Peter,

Interested in these wheels.

Can anyone shed any light on if these are OE for a 944 turbo?

Obviously the tyres are a little skinny, but are the wheels right for a 944 T?

Rav,
I have to say I'm not sure. I know they will fit a 928. Maybe ask the guys on the 944 forum?

Hi :)

You are right ...with that offset (65) they are early 928 wheels.

Mind you I would never run them on a 928 with that skinny rubber on them as a tyre could possibly roll off the rim ,under hard cornering :(

They "should" have 225/50/16 as standard rubber...

All the best Brett :)

Hi :)

I suspected they may have been on a VW...A lot of the local lads around here do the same with "skinny" tyres.....its seems to be a fad :(...I do not think they realise quite how dangerous it can be on a high performance car...

All the best Brett :)

There was a thread about stretching tyres somewhere - PH or PCGB perhaps. As has been said all the rage now!

PH actually with plod saying they'd nick someone running it & the VW guys saying it is perfectly safe. It is things like this that are driving us closer to Europe where modding cars are very difficult to do.

No, the OE 944 Turbo wheels all have part # starting with 951.

951.362.114.00 - 7x16 23.3mm offset
951.362.116.00 - 8x16 23.3mm offset
