Looking for a set of 16" Fuchs to fit a very early 944 turbo.

I understand that these would be of 7 and 8" ilk.

Cash waiting.

Can you get the offset to match up? I think they will sit too far outside the bodywork as the 911 rear offset is either 27 or 23.

You might get a 50/55 offset on the replica sets that are out there.

This offset would be OK on an early 944

Lindsey Racing sell replicas in 16 & 17" The machine the centers & may be able to give you the right offset. Might be worth a phone call if the price doesn't scare you to death. :)

Look out for old model 944s.
There was a LHD with FUCH wheels local to me for sale recently. The car was listed it twice without selling. I considered buying it just for the wheels. I have phoned up the guy but no luck catching him in so far. If I find out will contact you.

Wowzers - thats a lot of money.

Stepa1007 - let me know if you get in touch with the LHD 944 owner.

I think a 944 turbo on Fuchs looks the business.

Can't get an answer from the chap with the LHD car,

Saw this one on pistonheads
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1249248.htm

This car has Fuch wheels and looks a good buy anyway

Steve

I think that you will find that Turbo Fuchs are different. The 911 guys want them so that they can fit bigger brakes.

Hi Dave

The Fuch size on turbos were 16 inch to clear the brakes.
Both sizes were an option on the 944 models.
You need to check the car has 16 not 15 inch.

I know that they are 16 inch, but I believe that they actually have a 941 part number, and that the 911 ones do not clear the callipers and thats why they are so expensive.
