Have decided to sell whatsit, my '83 944 convertible.
Not sure of it's exact origins, but it looks like a Bieber conversion. Shell is reinforced, and doors open and close properly, Seems to have been almost finished then abandoned. Has been off the road since 1989. Doesn't run, but engine does crank with good compression and sounds healthy. rolls around OK and is on Cookie Cutters.
It's a big project, and not for the faint hearted, but the shell is RUST FREE.
You get the rolling shell, doors, bonnet and bootlid, glass, all suspension and brakes, all running gear, engine gearbox etc fitted.
No front wings or front bumper, has headlights but no others. No interior or dash.
Good mohair soft top fitted, probably needs plastic rear window replaced.
Wiring is in place, but door harnesses have been mullered. I have some spare ones, but they are from an S2 so will need adjustment.
As I say , it's a big project, but will make an almost unique car.
Could be used as a reshell for your rusty or crashed 944 or 924, I don't know, loads of possibilities.
