Heh, there's almost no difference, 951 has TPS, cycling valve and knock sensor on the KLR, otherwise it is the same setup as 944 NA.

Hi Raceboy,

This is not for a Porsche but after many months of fruitless searching I've finally found someone that has a adapter harness for a S50B32! would like to know some details for that application if possible. Oh and maybe for a 964 as well.

Yes, I have sold few S50B32 plug and play units, these are straight Motronic VEMS ECU's, no adapter needed.

Anything for m30b35 BMW 6 series?

Will also be looking for ECU to control 2.5 16v (turbo) Porsche 944s engine as u have in your 924.

Regards

M30B35 is L-Jet iirc, I can make it, no problem. But you need to change out the TPS because it is just a simple idle and wot switch, not real variable resistance pot.

I have installed several VEMS systems to M30 engines, most of them are boosted to 1.5-2 bars and making 600-800 hp :) Total BMW count (all models) goes to into 30-40 range.

Hi Raceboy ,

I am trying to source a 6mm egt sensor and lead for a vems round gauge and the vems shop is showing out of stock, are you able to help ?

Also the gauge came without a wideband sensor but I have a Bosch lsu 4.2 sensor from a Polo 0258007351 do you know if this would work as I am assuming the bosch 4.2 sensors are generic.

Regards Simon

Sorry for the late answer.
Sadly I don't have any 6mm EGT gauges in stock.

Regarding WB sensor, if the connector physically fits, it will work assuming the sensor is in working order.

Here's update from Filip Nygren in Sweden. He installed Precision 5558 turbo, 630cc injectors and bigger exhaust, still running VEMS pnp, got 370rwhp after Dahlbäck Racing tuned his car. Still original ignition system, intercooler etc.

Bump, just in case anyone is interested over here.

Many systems (all 944 variants, also 911 and 968) going to USA, has sold few to UK too.

Attached a photo of early 944/924S PnP with optional wasted spark kit (adds 120 euros to the kit price).

Does VEMS autotune mean there's no need for fine tuning on a dyno ?

I Have just fitted this to my early 944, drives superb now, but it does still need fine tuning which i had done on a dyno. can be done on the road but i found it easier on the dyno.

Did you try using the auto tune feature or will that just get the tune close ?

No i was in contact with Peep/Racerboy and that was never spoken about, we got it all up and running then just a matter of driving and hitting keys as the VE zones change. but i didnt have time hence my pal mapped it on his dyno.

Did it really need the fine tuning or was the start up map close enough ?

No needs a fair amount of tweaking.
