HARTECH FULL ENGINE REBUILD BY PORSCHE ENGINE SPECIALIST in 2015 at 85k with a list of all work carried at the same time i.e.new cliutch ++. This effectively takes care of the 996 inherent engine issues. Current mileage, 109k so covered less than 25k since engine rebuild. MOT to 10th October 2024 with no advisories again, manual, sunroof delete,6 Former Keepers. Serviced 3rd October 2023. Reg No NA02NTU.
This 996 was privately owned by a Hartech Director when the full engine rebuild was carried out and substantial additional work was carried out in 2015. Full summary work undertaken by Hartech on their sheet can be sent along with images. Some of the work included 6 new nikasil cylinders, IMS bearing, cylinder head overhaul, new clutch and flywheel, oil/ air separator, brake discs & pads, new timing chain & guide rail set, air con condensers & new radiators. At 105k to 106k front and rear suspension overhauled. Oct 2022 brake lines replaced and new starter motor fitted. November 2023 at my Indy, just replaced front condensers and radiators, exhaust silencers and exhaust tips and rear bumper heat shield. All invoices on file.
Sold by Hartech Director to a lady in 2015 at 85k who took up the Hartech maintenance plan (letter on file), paying a monthly premium with no charge for labour for all work over the next 6-7 years-just the cost of parts. I purchased the 996 from her in Feb 2022 and drove the Porsche 5 hours back to home with no issues.
