Hi looking for a 997 C4S Cabriolet based in Glasgow but willing to travel for the right car. Genuine enthusiastic buyer looking for a nice car under 70,000 miles and a budget of about £35k.

Assume Gen 1 on that budget -

You don't mention what spec you want - manual / tip PSE? Chrono? Colours etc?

Worth speaking to a few of the specialists as they always know of well looked after cars going for sale.

Unique Porsche are fantastic and will also PPI any car you find to give you peace of mind

Join the Scottish Cumbria and NW TIPEC region facebook pages and they will help you also.

I know the Gen 1 has more issues and the Gen 2 drives better and has a nicer interior but I just love the look and stance of the C4S.

Not bothered about spec as have a silver 996TT tip which i've owned ten years. Really love guards red and the light blue colour. I have an Evo 6 track / road car if I want to be a reprobate.

Not everyone agrees with the Gen2 being better...

Gen1 is more fun. Gen2 reliability is not in reality much better. DFI cars from all brands are suffering many issues with HPFP and coking.
