Not my car, but a friend’s. He’s lined up to buy my ’87 Lux, but the wife says his current, older, model has to go first. Please help—it’s like being stuck on the property ladder!

Mark 1 Private plate Guards Red, recent service inc. belts, MOT and tax, spare alloys and tyres. Brown interior – any reasonable offer considered.

His words, not mine. If anyone’s interested I can pass on phone number and email details. It’s a tidy daily driver and factory standard spec for one of the very earliest 944 models. Absolutely the perfect first Porsche, in my opinion. Cheap as anything in the current climate.

As a guide on price, my friend was offering it to me as a £850 part-ex against my car. I can’t take that as I’ve run out of garage space.
