Porsche 944
1982, Black with tweed interior. No Sunroof

I’ve own this car for 9 years (since 08 06 2007) and have looked after it but time it went to another guardian with time to enjoy. Health reasons have prevented me from regular use and so she has spent a lot of the time in the garage. I’ve only managed 8000 miles in the eight years. MOT shows mileage at 1230 for this year. Last year was 411. 2014 mileage was 99821.
4 previous owners but main owner from 1988 to 2006. He loved the car but suffered a stroke in 1992 and wasn’t able to drive it. Had an annual service with Adrian Yates Smith in Hove and was mechanically strong. He kept car in the garage until sold.

Car was MOTed last week so won’t run out until 17th August 2017
Advisories were
Brake pipe slightly corroded nearside front
Brake pipe slightly corroded offside front
Oil Leak
Rear rubber fuel hose from pump perished but no sign of leak.
Shock absorber has slight corrosion to casing nearside rear
Shock absorber has slight corrosion to casing offside rear

Car has had the following works done since I’ve owned it:

Initial full belts fluids and rollers service by Mid Sussex OPC (2008. mileage 95071)
Second belts and water pump replacement service by Sussex MOT Centre (ex OPC mechanic) (2014. mileage 99821)
Brake pipes were replaced in 2013
General service, oil change, filters plugs etc by me each year.
Because the car had not been used much for so long, the oil breather pipe was blowing back through the oil filler which was completely blocked. This was taken off, cleaned and replaced.
Wheels were changed to Boxster 16” with 205/60//16 tyres at front and 225/60/16 at the rear. When fitted the wheels had been newly stripped and powder coated, before fitting new Pirelli tyres all round.
Rear hatch was leaking so a replacement was fitted from a 1989 car. New seal fitted at same time and now the car is dry inside.
Steering wheel was removed, handstitched and leather dyed back to black.
Front speakers were replaced with JBL.
I have two of the roller blinds for the rear but they don't work well. Will be in car for next buyer.
I also have the original rear hatch but would need complete refurbishment to go back on car. Can be taken away in the back of the car if you want.

Bodywork is rust free, I have photos of inside the cills which show minimal rust. A lot of the car was thoroughly jet washed when I bought it and then the limited mileage has kept it in good condition.

Faults

Stereo doesn’t hold keep stations locked in when ignition turned off. Been like that since I got the car. Head unit is a Kenwood but there is a Sony spare thrown in.
The bodyworks polishes up really well but there are stonechips and scrapes as you would expect for a 33 year old car.
The drivers rear side was keyed but most of the scratching has polished out.
Electric windows are slow. Passenger side window doesn’t work from the drivers side at the moment.
Drivers seat pad is wearing thin but bolster was replaced just before I bought the car. I have some of the fabric leftover. It’s close to the original but not a complete match

Car is located in Burgess Hill, Mid Sussex but can also be viewed at Petworth during the day by arrangement
Will try to post more pictures when I get a chance.

Offers around £3,650

New owner came and picked it up today.
He'll be having more time to enjoy the car than I ever did.

Bye for now
